This photo, likely from the late 1940s, shows Jane Styron sitting with the Senterfitt grocery store in the background.  The Styron family lived in Holt sometime during the 1940s and 1950s.

The Senterfitt store was located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and U.S. 90, diagonally from the First Baptist Church of Holt. The building no longer stands.  The Senterfitts were one of Holt’s early pioneer families.

Max Cooper, Holt historian, is interested in any genealogy, old photos, family tree or family stories about the Senterfitt family, or anyone with information about the Styron family. He can be reached by email at maxmcooper@gmail.com.
